Imagine a business park in a virtual world
In 2009 a group of really clever people from the computer gaming industry and elsewhere congregated in Hawaii. Their mission was to create a virtual world that was so intensely graphically rich, at times it looked pretty much like the real thing.
The result was Blue Mars. Aside from being a very impressive virtual playground, Blue Mars is also an example of how virutality is increasingly finding its way into the marketing mix. Marketing communicators are getting used to the idea that they can create campaigns that allow their audiences to virtually "use" the concept rather than read about it or see/hear it in a short 30-second commercial.
As Avatar Reality CEO Jim Sink explains in this interview on Reputation Online, digital security,user-friendliness and scalability are all part of the package in the business park of the future.
