Since 1998 Paul has been the technology and change commentator on ABC 702 Sydney Weekends and the national Tony Delroy Nightlife program with a combined audience of nearly a million listeners. Paul has helped tens of thousands of ABC listeners with understanding how technology is changing their domestic and business lives.
In his writing as a weekly contributor to Smart Company and the author of six technology books, including the Australian editions of the Personal Computers and the Internet for Dummies Guides, Paul has been a leader in explaining technology to businesses and communities.
Paul’s business experience has included four start up ventures, one of which became PC Rescue, a national IT support business. These adventures taught Paul about the challenges and opportunities for small and high growth businesses.
Recently, Paul has been working with the New South Wales state government on the development of support for the creative and digital industries. Paul was involved in formulating the state’s strategies for the digital and creative industries along with the formation of the Digital Sydney program, an initiative to position the city as one of the world’s leading centres in the knowledge and new media economy.
